The Rapid 1-2-3® HEMA EZ® device is the subject of issued U.S. and International patents and is initially being developed to cover a broad range of infectious diseases.

The versatility of the Hema Diagnostic Systems RAPID 1-2-3® HEMA EZ®, device makes it applicable for a variety of point of care settings where rapid test results are required. The patented Rapid 1-2-3® HEMA EZ® platform is especially configured to run in a horizontal position, therefore requiring no tests racks. Once activated the RAPID 1-2-3® HEMA EZ® housing will lock in place and will remain locked and watertight. The EZ technology provides a unitized and self contained device for disease diagnosis. Key features of the device include safety, ease of use and cost effectiveness.

To use the device, simply touch the tip of the RAPID 1-2-3® HEMA EZ® Sampler Device to a drop of fingerstick blood; then place the sample device into the covered housing and squeeze the diluent holder with two fingers. This releases a buffer, which mixes with the specimen and is delivered directly onto a porous filter device, which separates unwanted “red cells”. The purified specimen is then allowed to migrate directly onto and down a proprietary test strip coated with target antigen material. The transparent design of the lower housing allows for easy to read test results within fifteen minutes.
