To provide the highest quality rapid diagnostic testing devices to the global market place in a cost effective manner that will aid in the fight against the world’s most deadly pandemics.
The people of the developing nations of the world have been ravaged for years by three infectious diseases: HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Combined, they kill six million people worldwide annually.
The devastating impact of these three pandemics has marshaled the attention of governments, political organizations, humanitarian groups, and non-governmental organizations.
Attention is focused on four areas: education, prevention, treatment, and establishing voluntary counseling and testing programs (VCT).
Hema Diagnostic Systems (HDS) manufactures and distributes high quality, reliable in-vitro diagnostic tests that address the global medical community’s needs for simple, accurate, fast, and affordable rapid diagnostic tests for these and other infectious diseases. HDS offers unique proprietary and patented delivery systems incorporating high-quality test strips, principally manufactured under GMP conditions in the United States, creating a system of rapid diagnostic assays unlike that of any other company.
HDS’ rapid HIV assays have been evaluated and approved by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and are included on the USAID Blanket Waiver List. This enables organizations around the globe to procure the tests with funds under the PEPFAR Program (The President’s Emergency Program for AIDS Relief).
Hema Diagnostic Systems was established in South Florida in 2000 and is currently headquartered in Miramar, Florida. HDS maintains a research and development facility within its corporate offices, which serves as the quality assurance center and provides a research base for developing additional products for marketing under the Rapid 1-2-3® Hema brand.
All HDS tests are assembled and packaged in ISO 13485 facilities in the Republic of Panama, from where the final devices are shipped to worldwide export destinations.
